Discussing the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Conversations about Israel can sometimes include implicit or explicit antisemitic ideas, even though criticism of the Israeli government or policies is not inherently antisemitic. Intentionally or unintentionally, antisemitic ideas can cause harm to Jewish people around the world and dehumanize Jews and Israeli people. It is important to learn to recognize anti-Israel bias, anti-Zionism and antisemitism and challenge biased language that is communicated within conversations about geopolitical conflicts. Click here for ten suggestions to use when having conversations about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with other members of the campus community.

Report Antisemitic Incidents

Report Incidents

Report incidents of antisemitism or hate to ADL. Incidents that do not violate laws or campus policies should still be reported here and support and guidance will still be provided as appropriate.

Use the CALL Website

Use the CALL website or text "CALLhelp" to 51555 to have a lawyer review campus-based incidents of antisemitic discrimination, intimidation, harassment, vandalism or violence. Examples of situations that may be legal violations, depending on the circumstances, include:

  • Being treated differently or discriminated against because you’re Jewish
  • In-person or online harassment
  • Intentional damage to your property or a physical attack because you’re Jewish

This is not a comprehensive or definitive list. Its purpose is to illuminate a few potential legal issues in order to help you decide whether to request legal review. This is not intended as legal advice.
