ADL has prepared a sample script that can be used for your Dial Day

A phone call is one of the best ways to take action and show your support for the safety of Jewish students. Mobilize your community to take action and call your university president and campus administrators, urging them to commit to No Tolerance for Antisemitism. Below is how to prepare and what to expect.

How to Organize a Call in Day

  1. Pick your target. Generally, this will be a university President, but it also could be a provost or dean of student life. Select one or two people you want participants to call. Set a date to make your calls to maximize pressure on your target.
  2. Mobilize your network. Set a goal for how many calls you want the target to receive – 10, 15, or 20 calls. Then make a list of who you can personally ask to make a call. Your outreach list should be quadruple your goal – so if you want ten calls ask 40 people to make a call.
  3. Time to pick up the phone. Find the phone number of your university president’s office. Take a few moments to gather your thoughts and practice. Expect to speak with a staff member and be prepared to introduce yourself by your affiliation to the university. If applicable, look into any data or anecdotes of recent antisemitic incidents on campus to reference in the call. Look into your school’s code of conduct to see if different identity groups are already explicitly protected.
