Institute for Historical Review (IHR)

The Institute for Historical Review (IHR) is a Holocaust denial organization founded by American white supremacist and antisemitic propagandist Willis Carto in 1978. IHR broke with Carto in 1993; Mark Weber has led the group since 1995. Presenting itself as a pseudo-academic “revisionist” organization, the California-based IHR publishes materials which disregard the most basic standards of historiography to paint a picture of the past that minimizes or completely denies Jewish experiences of victimhood during the Holocaust. The IHR published the Journal of Historical Review from 1980–2002.  It also convened conferences which gathered virtually all of the world's foremost deniers, as well as surviving Nazis, children of Nazis and anti-Jewish polemicists not known for their views about the Holocaust.
